Thank you for your interest in Emily's Music Corner! My name is Emily Asay, pronounced like the letters "A.C." 

I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and 10 years of teaching experience; 5 of those years as an elementary school orchestra teacher and 5 teaching private lessons while being a stay-at-home mom. 

I started studying piano at age 6, added violin at age 10, majored with violin in college, and have been performing with different orchestras ever since. I am currently a member of the Gilbert Symphony Orchestra. I strongly believe that life is so much more fulfilling with music! 

Most of my teaching experience is with kids ages 10-14 but I am happy to accept students ages 6 and up. It is never too late to enjoy the benefits of making music!
